Damon Ranger has earned various awards owing to his hard work and dedication
Being a musician is a dream for
many and a reality for few. Indeed, the glamour and glory of the life of a
musician is something that can be recounted infinity in the music industry.
However, have you ever imagined the reality behind it? It is all about
dedication, hard work and sleepless nights.
Apart from a musician, Damon
Ranger is a renowned songwriter who has co-written various songs with
artists such as WAR, Dee Snider, Kanye West, Rhymefest, and more.
Currently, he is a part of rock band Black box. Damon has toured the world and
performed at many stages, such as headlining the Rebel Stage at Riot Fest
alongside Iggy and The Stooges and Elvis Costello.
Regarding his passion for music, Damon Ranger was quite passionate towards music since his childhood days. He
started his professional career as a sound engineer at the age of 19 for the
album titled “The Muchacha” by the band The Dorks. He also worked as a composer
for War’s album “Evolutionary” in 2014. Thereafter, he joined hands with Dee
Snider as a producer, composer, engineer and vocalist for the album “We are The
Ones”.
Talking about the major awards
won by Damon, he has earned six Emmy awards for his work with CBS. In
addition to it, he also won Grammy for his songwriting contributions with Kanye
West. Other awards that he has bagged until date includes - News and
Documentary Emmy Award for Outstanding Regional News Story-Spot News for his
work in CBS and Outstanding Achievement for Individual Excellence Off Camera:
Videography – News for his work in WBBM. Besides, Damon has won an Emmy
with Rick Nielson of Cheap Trick. He has co-written Playoffs and World Series
theme song titled “Rule the World” by Dee Snider. His performance at Grammy On
The Hill 2016 with Dee Snider in Washington DC for members of Congress also
adds to his accomplishments.
